Children ages 4 through 3rd grade celebrate Liturgy of the Word at each weekend Liturgy in their own worship space. The Children's Lectionary is used to proclaim the Good News. Children are led by trained adult Proclaimers in a reflection on the meaning of Sunday readings and how they apply to their lives. Liturgy of the Word is offered at all weekend liturgies with the exception of sacramental weekends, Christmas, New Year's and Easter weekends.

Continuous participation in Liturgy of the Word is an essential component of sacramental preparation.
