Religious education is a vital parish ministry that involves passing on the Catholic tradition and sharing one’s faith with others in a public way. The ministry is open to those actively participating in the sacramental life of the Church. Two catechists are needed for each class from K through 12th. Facilitators are needed for adult formation. The Diocese of Richmond requires background checks and VIRTUS training for anyone who works with children or youth. Catechists and facilitators are certified through the diocesan PATHWAYS program for formation. K-5 meet for one hour Sunday mornings from 9:50 to 10:50am and 6-12th Grade meet for 20 classes on Sunday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. We look for people who want to share their faith with children, youth, or adults, care about our community, and are committed to the time requirements.
