MISSION STATEMENT
CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Smithfield, VA 23430
May 2007

In thankfulness to God, we, the Church of the Good Shepherd, gather at the Lord's Table, welcoming all, renewing our Catholic faith, and worshiping together through meaningful liturgies.

We embrace life-long catechesis to grow spiritually and serve as an example to our children. We commit ourselves to sharing the teachings of Jesus Christ.

As good stewards and followers of the Lord, we open our hearts to all, sharing our God given talents and treasure.

MISSION STATEMENT
CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Smithfield, VA 23430
August 2, 1990

In thankfulness to God, we, the Parish of the Good Shepherd, pray and work at continued growth in our Catholic Christian tradition through shared worship: passing on our faith to our children: and conducting ourselves in keeping with the values of the Catholic Church.

We commit ourselves to follow the Lord, our Good Shepherd, to listen to Him and heed His call, to change, and to sacrifice in order that we may share His life more abundantly.

To all we open our hearts, our arms, and our gates in genuine hospitality.
